Hello! I’m Maureen, a photographer living in Pollokshields, Glasgow. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m in the thick of early parenthood myself – juggling snacks, buggy rides, and adventures with my three-year-old son and one-year-old daughter. Life is busy, joyful, and a little bit chaotic - and that’s exactly what I love capturing for other families too.

Photographing family life

I’ve been a photographer for over ten years, originally focused on documentary-style travel and street photography (you can see some of that here). Since becoming a parent, my lens has turned toward family life. I’m drawn to the honest, in-between moments: sleepy newborn cuddles, mischievous sibling grins, proud looks shared between parents – and yes, even that rare but golden shot of everyone in the frame together.

My sessions are relaxed and child-led – I know from experience that little ones don’t always follow the plan and that’s part of the beauty. I work across Glasgow and the surrounding areas, creating space for families to feel at ease and just be themselves.

A bit more about me

A few things I love: my local community in Pollokshields – the park, the library, and always bumping into someone I know. Travel – though it looks a bit different these days with two little ones along for the ride – live music, books, and those lovely conversations you end up having with other parents while chasing toddlers through the playground.
