At-home newborn photography session in Glasgow’s newton mearns
When arriving at Mel and Craig’s Newton Mearns home to photograph their six-week-old baby boy Jack, I was enthusiastically greeted at the door by four-year-old big brother Liam. Newborn photography sessions are always fun when there’s an older sibling in the mix, and I love capturing the beginning days of the relationship the children will have for a lifetime
Liam was bursting with pride at his new big brother status but as a parent of two I know the arrival of a baby in the family can be a delicate time for an older sibling and I always make sure to give them focused attention. Liam an I had a blast hanging out together which gave me an opportunity to photograph him at natural play in his home.
Isn’t baby Jack just perfect? As we made our way through the home I photographed him in many natural positions, like on his parent’s bed, in the arms of his mum, the arms of his dad. Basically I got quite addicted to photographing him because he was so ridiculously cute.
Let’s not forget mum and dad. As I spent time with the family in their home I photographed some candid moments that will act as a time capsule for this fleeting but magical time in their lives.
And course I took some photographs of all family members together.
These are just a few of the many pictures I took during this gorgeous at-home photography session. Thank you Mel and Craig for inviting me to capture this beautiful chapter of your lives.
