Relaxed Newborn photography session in a light-filled glasgow tenement

It was a bright winter day when I arrived in Shawlands at the home of baby Stella, and the sun filtered through the tenement window illuminating her and her big brother Luca’s faces as they snuggled in the living room with their mum and dad.

Mum Sophie and dad JJ had invited me into their home for a relaxed newborn photography session. They wanted photographs that accurately reflected this special time in their lives: Stella in a natural setting, Luca in an environment he could be himself in, where he could bound around the room and play with his favourite toy crane.

The resulting images feel like a suspension of time; a snapshot of the gentle chaos of the first few months as a family of four.
